Meet Yandeh Sallah-Muhammed, on of our entrepreneurs and director of Gambian Marine & Environmental Conservation Initiative. GMECI is a community organization that focuses on re-education of sustainable skills that are native to The Gambia. Through the implementation of alternative farming, waste management, renewable energy, active citizenship, sustainable recreation as well as using more modern knowledge of living sustainably to better our environment. We structure programmes, events, workshops and days of action to better our community through immediate action and sharing information. We use free and affordable educational programs to be able to share knowledge on these themes physically immerse within these landscapes, to fully grasp the effects of climate change, and environmental degradation due to exploitation of natural resources.
